Winning With Numbers Training for New Staff
Touchbase Meetings
Onboarding Call
We provide an Onboarding Call for school leaders as they begin the Winning With Numbers journey. The call is online and between a school leader and the WWN Onboarding Team. During this call we will support leaders to onboard staff and students to the WWN platform. We will also walk leaders through the features of the platform in more detail, answer any initial questions, and help leaders feel confident navigating the system and leading the programme in their school.
Launch Training
We provide launch training for schools as they begin the Winning With Numbers journey. The training ensures staff understand the WWN curriculum and are able to confidently use the platform to teach and assess and impact on outcomes. Launch Training units include:
- It’s like phonics for maths
- The Winning With Numbers platform
- Teaching Winning With Numbers
- Assessing Winning With Numbers
- Gathering for success
- Implementation steps
Duration: We highly recommend a full INSET day for Launch Training but we can be flexible depending on school availability.
Delivery Method: We offer face-to-face training (recommended if possible) and online training. Both options are delivered by Winning With Numbers consultants, and a training pack is provided for all members of staff.
Implementation Support Days
Implementation Support Days are designed to support school leaders with excellent implementation of the Winning With Numbers programme. We recommend three Implementation Support Days (one per term) in the first year of implementation.
An Implementation Support Day is co-designed with the school and is bespoke to you. Some examples of Implementation Supports Days include:
- Learning Walks with the Maths Lead
- Reviewing Going for Gold Assessment Data and planning next steps
- Support on getting the most out of your Winning With Numbers platform
- Senior Leader Meeting with key findings and next steps

- Assessing Numbers Fluency
Duration: 1-3 hours staff meeting. The training can be adapted to meet the duration of your staff training sessions.
Delivery Method Options: We offer face-to-face training, but these focused training sessions usually take place online. Both options are delivered by Winning With Numbers consultants.
Maths Leader Network Meetings
Each year, we host free online Maths Leader Network Meetings which are an opportunity to review Winning With Numbers with maths leaders across the country and to explore new features of the programme.

Winning With Numbers Training for New Staff
At the start of each term, we provide free introductory training for staff new to your school.
