- Although the pieces are interconnected, they must be learnt individually, in order, and with the required background knowledge already in place.
- Hence, the Winning With Numbers curriculum is a straight line learning journey. The teacher's focus is simply on guiding learners along the path to numeracy, one WIN at a time.
- This straight line curriculum comes to life in the fully resources learning platform.
300 Sequenced Teaching Videos
- There are 300 highly visual ‘Teach Me!’ videos that explain key concepts and ideas to children.
- They are mapped to each of the 300 pieces of Number Knowledge.
- They can be used by teachers in planning, shown within lessons and viewed again as homework.
1200 Explicit Instruction Goal Videos
- The 300 pieces of knowledge are broken down into even smaller Goals.
- Each of these 1200 Goals has its own short instructional video that models to children exactly how to respond to questions that will follow.
- Goal Questions also provide user feedback; ideal for highly structured and visual homework.

- This video shows that success with the final set of Goal Questions unlocks a bank of Practice Questions; further success unlocks the Retrieval Questions.

Pupil Assessment

- The check is based on the 300 number-fluency learning objectives, known as WINS in Winning With Numbers.
- The check assesses if children have the ability to respond to the questions at each WIN correctly and without hesitation.
Progress Tracking for Individual, Groups and School
- At each assessment point, and following the Going for Gold assessment, data for individual children and classes is analysed allowing teachers to respond appropriately to ensure all children make progress.
School Leader Report
- School leaders are given access to whole school reports so they can monitor and celebrate progress throughout the year.
- These reports inform leaders of the percentage of children on track at each assessment point and the average WIN number and average gap for each class.
