How Will I Know If My Child Is Progressing?
- The Winning With Numbers program has 300 pieces of progressive number knowledge in a straight line sequence of learning.
- We call these pieces of number knowledge WINs! If your child has won WIN number 127, they will move on to WIN 128.
- This means you can easily see where your child is on their learning journey and the amount of progress they are making.
How Is the Programme Like a Tutoring Package?
- The Winning With Numbers programme is not just an opportunity for your child to practice questions. You and your child have access to thousands of quality teaching videos through the WWN platform.
- Each new WIN starts by watching the 'Teach Me!' video on the learning platform. If you choose, you can watch this with your child so that you understand the main ideas and have a clear view of what it being taught.
- These Teach Me videos are deliberately light, clear and clean to ensure your child does not get distracted and focuses on the teaching points.
Does My Child Answer Questions Online?
- There are sets of online questions for every WIN.
- For example, at Win 103 children have to drag onscreen counters to show the arrangement of 6 + 3 on a 10 frame, deriving the total.
- This helps them feel and see the number relationship in readiness for recalling 6 + 3 = 9 as a number fact at Win 105.
- Children answer questions on any device and the results are available to children and parents in the platform. As a parent, you are able to track their progress.
How Will I Know If My Child Is Answering the Questions Correctly?
- The 'Teach Me!' videos lead straight into the 'Goal' videos. Each WIN has up to 5 of these videos.
- They model precisely to the child (and the parent!) how they can complete the task that will follow in the online questions.
- The Goal videos progress on from each other, building independence and fluency. There will never be any reason for a child and parent to wonder how to respond to a question, the Goal videos model this for you.
How Can I Support My Child? I Was Taught Maths Differently When I Was at School!

- These videos allow you to go deeper, if you choose, into the teaching strategies that are being used for every WIN.

What If My Child Is Struggling?
- Winning With Numbers has an inbuilt 'Remind Me' feature.
- If your child keeps watching to the end of each 'Teach Me!' video, they will find the 'Remind Me' segment.
- Here, you can see precisely where to go back to if your child has some knowledge gaps.
- The platform allows you to simply click on the relevant WIN, instantly taking your child to the personalised teaching input they need.
