Our team brings a wealth of experience in education, are aligned to the WWN mission and share a passion of improving outcomes for all children.

Ben Harding

Co-founder and Programme Director

Ben is the Winning with Numbers COO, co-founder and creator. He has great expertise in teaching number knowledge and in education technology. Having been headteacher of 3 schools, Ben went on to author numerous teaching books, work with Ofsted as a school inspector and has delivered number knowledge training to thousands of teachers internationally.

Bethan Harding MBE

CEO and Co-founder

Bethan is the Winning with Numbers CEO and co-founder. She is a school leadership expert, previously an Estyn inspector and was awarded an MBE by Queen Elizabeth II for Service to Education. Bethan has been a primary Headteacher and a co-principal in a 3-18 school. As a primary Headteacher her school was the first in Wales to be awarded 15 out of 15 excellent judgements by inspectors.

Katey Dale

Programme Lead

Katey is the Winning With Numbers Programme Lead. She supports schools through their implementation journey and is the key contact for school leaders. Katey has been a primary and secondary school teacher, maths leader and senior leader for a number of years. She has extensive skill and experience in school improvement and ensuring excellent outcomes. Katey has used WWN as a teacher and maths lead and is therefore perfectly positioned to support WWN schools.

Wayne Harrison

Advisory Board Member

Wayne sits on the WWN Advisory Board. He taught as a science teacher before completing a PhD at Durham University. He has previously developed two Ed-tech platforms focused on online peer tutoring for disadvantaged learners. Wayne is now the CEO of What Worked Education, an organisation dedicated to bridging the gap between research, teachers, and EdTech.

Kim Antoniou

Advisory Board Member

Kim sits on the WWN Advisory Board. Kim is driven by her mission to enhance the world through innovative technology. She is the founder of Fonetti that is a platform that boosts children’s oracy and fluency. Kim has also founded an award-winning food tech management platform.

Martin Bailey

Advisory Board Member

Martin sits on the WWN Advisory Board. He has 25 years experience as a Primary School Teacher and Computing Subject Leader and is currently employed as a ‘Digital Enrichment Leader’. Martin combines this role with that of running his own company (Animate to Educate), lecturing and advising.

Professor Alison Shaw

Advisory Board Member

Alison is an education specialist with a proven track-record of strategic and educational leadership; curriculum design and innovation; approaches to pedagogy which increase access and inclusive learning; and collaborative partnerships. She has expertise in bringing education and employers together to benefit students, communities and the economy. Alison is a Professor at Newcastle University for inclusive education and she is the founder of the Maths Teaching Innovation Collaborative.
